Investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker. At BBC NI he works in the Spotlight and Panorama departments, both specializing in investigative journalism and current affairs documentaries.

As a Shooting Assistant Producer he worked on the four-part miniseries “Kinahan: The True Story of Ireland's Mafia”, produced by the BBC NI.

He has credits as a researcher, camera operator, and assistant producer on various BBC programs, including “Murder on the Street, Deadly Little Pills”, “Covert Cops: When Spying Goes Wrong”, “30 Years Behind the Mask”, “The Drug Wars that Killed Olivia”, “Smart Motorways: When Technology Fails”, “The Sewage Scandal”, and “Who Killed John George?”.

“Erosion”, the first independent film he co-directed, won the award for best Hispanic American documentary at the “Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces 2018 film festival” and received honorable mentions in various countries. “No One Is Illegal Every Day Tomorrow” is his first film as a solo director.

Together with María Atahona he founded the production company Samaruc Productions (samarucproductions.com).
